Bloomfield Public Forum: Open Dialogue Between Cops, Community
A public forum on May 23 aims to create an "open dialogue" between local police, town leaders and the Bloomfield community.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Civil Rights Commission will host a public forum on Wednesday, May 23 aimed at creating an “open dialogue” between local police, town leaders and the Bloomfield community.
According to a news release from the commission, the conversation will be led by:
- Djanna Hill-Tall, chairperson of the Bloomfield Civil Rights Commission
- Councilwoman Wartyna Davis
- Director of Public Safety Samuel DeMaio
- Community Policing Unit Commander Lt. Naomi Zepeda
The “Protect and Serve” community conversation will take place on Wednesday, May 23 at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green, Parish House, 147 Broad Street, Bloomfield from 7 to 9 p.m.

“Topics of conversation will include what’s happening currently in the community, what is planned and the role community partners may play as well as time for open conversation,” the Bloomfield Civil Rights Commission stated.
