Bloomfield Restaurant, Barbershop Burglarized On Same Day: Police
Police said burglaries were reported at a restaurant and a barbershop on Bloomfield Avenue.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Burglaries were recently reported at a restaurant and a barbershop in Bloomfield on the same day, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, both incidents took place on Sept. 30. Authorities released the following details about each burglary.
RESTAURANT – Officers responded to 542 Bloomfield Avenue (IHOP) on report of a burglary. Two employees said they noticed several personal items missing after the business was closed. One employee was missing his bicycle and another was missing her wallet, which contained $55. The bicycle is red and Lamborghini-style, and is valued at $500. Upon reviewing surveillance video, a man can be seen entering the business and removing the items. The burglary is under investigation, police said.

BARBERSHOP – Officers responded to 417 Bloomfield Avenue (Last Stop Barbershop) on report of a burglary. The owner said he closed the business on Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. When he returned the following morning, he noticed the front door was forcibly pushed in and the ATM was missing. Surveillance video shows multiple men in a white van break the front door to the business and steal the ATM. The burglary is under investigation, police said.
