Bloomfield Restaurant, Home Burglarized: Police
A Bloomfield restaurant on Washington Street and a Davey Street residence were burglarized, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield restaurant and a Davey Street residence were burglarized last week, authorities said.
The Bloomfield Police Department issued the following statements about each incident:
Nov. 9 – “An officer was dispatched to 70 Washington Street (Aki Restaurant) on a report of a burglary. The employee entered the business and discovered damage to the ceiling of the kitchen and hallway areas. The store was closed on 11/8/18 at 10:37 p.m. On 11/9/18 at 10:50 a.m., the owner opened for the day and found the doors to be unlocked. Items were in a disarray in the area of the register and unknown at this time if any items or cash was taken. Surveillance cameras captured the incident. This incident is under investigation.”

Nov. 10 – “An officer was dispatched to Davey Street on a report of a burglary. Complainant returned home and discovered the residence was ransacked and multiple items were missing; a PlayStation, headphones, debit cards, wallet, earrings, and cash, a total value of $1,220. Point of entry was made through a rear window where the suspect removed an AC unit, leaving it on the ground. No suspects at this time. This incident is under investigation.”
