Bloomfield Sees 4 Car Thefts In 12 Days: Police
Bloomfield police say thefts have been reported on Newark, Montgomery, Berkeley and Columbus.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield residents reported four motor vehicle thefts in the township between Sept. 13 and Sept. 24, authorities say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the municipality:
- 9/13/2016 - The registered owner of a 2001 BMW X5 reported her vehicle was stolen from the driveway of her home on Newark Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 7:43 a.m. The vehicle was left running while the owner momentarily went inside her home.
- 9/16/2016 - A 2003 Jeep Liberty was reported stolen from Montgomery Street. The vehicle was parked in front of the owner’s home at 6 p.m. The owner discovered the vehicle missing at 9:30 a.m.
- 9/22/2016 - A 2007 Dodge Charger was reported stolen from Berkeley Avenue. The registered owner stated his vehicle was parked in his driveway last night at 11 p.m. and discovered missing the next morning. The vehicle was later recovered in Nutley; Joshua Lang-Davila, 30, of Newark, was arrested in connection with the incident.
- 9/24/2016- A 2001 Chrysler Van was reported stolen from Columbus Street. The vehicle was last seen parked on the street at 3 a.m. and discovered missing a few hours later.
