Bloomfield Storage Facility Sees Multiple Theft Reports: Police

Bloomfield, NJ – Bloomfield police are investigating multiple reported thefts at a local storage facility on Grove Street, authorities stated.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, a customer of Simply Storage at 211 Grove Street reported on Dec. 28 that his unit’s lock was cut off and replaced with a storage facility lock due to being behind on payments.

After providing payment, the customer gained access to his unit to find that several items were allegedly missing, including a 50-inch TV and DJ equipment, police stated.

Police added that there have been “several similar incidents” reported at the storage facility, and the BPD Detective Bureau is conducting an ongoing investigation into the “possibility of internal issues at the storage facility.”
