Bloomfield Taking 75 Applications For Housing Choice Voucher List

Want to get on the waiting list for Bloomfield's Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program? Here's what you need to know.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Housing Authority of the Township of Bloomfield will be accepting 75 new applications for its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program waiting list, officials announced Monday.

According to municipal officials, a point system will be utilized to identify prioritized populations. Applicants having the same number of points will be prioritized by date and time of their submission.

Applications will be available online on the Bloomfield Township website starting March 1 at 8:30 a.m. and ending March 7 at 4:30 p.m.

Elderly residents and people with disabilities who need assistance with the application process can contact Bloomfield Housing Authority at (973) 680-4188 or (973) 680-4189. Calls will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, from March 1 to March 7.

Eligible applicants must be 18 or older and meet the following Housing and Urban Development Income Limits:

  • 2 people – $43,000
  • 3 people – $48,350
  • 4 people – $53,700
  • 5 people – $58,000
  • 6 people – $62,300
  • 7 people – $66,600
  • 8 people – $70,900

“All applicants will be treated equally without consideration to race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, familial status, marital status or disability,” municipal officials stated.
