Bloomfield Teen Missing For A Month; Police Seek Public’s Help
She has run away in the past for a few days at a time, but this time she didn't return, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Police in Bloomfield are asking for the public’s help finding a teen who has been missing for a month, authorities announced Monday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the mother of Alexis Velez, 15, reported her missing on Nov. 19. Velez’s mother said that the teen asked to be dropped off at a friend’s house on the 200-block of Franklin Street at 2 p.m. that day.
Police said that Velez has reportedly run away in the past for a “few days,” but has returned without telling anyone where she had stayed. This time, she did not return.

Police described Velez as Hispanic and 5 feet 4 inches and 120 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a light skin complexion. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, white Nike sneakers and a red jacket.
