Bloomfield Thefts: Copper Stolen From St. Valentine Carnival, 637 DVDs Missing
Bloomfield saw two unusual thefts, authorities say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield recently saw two unusual thefts earlier this month, authorities say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:
- Sept. 7 – “A DVD case containing approximately 637 DVDs were reported missing from a 2017 BMX X3. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot at 879 Broad Street. The vehicle was left unlocked between the dates of Aug. 15 and Aug. 18.”
- Sept. 9 – “Approximately 125 feet of copper was reported stolen from several generators at the St. Valentine Carnival. The copper is valued at $4,500 dollars. Police are actively investigating the incident.”
