Bloomfield Traffic Updates: Water Main Repair, Construction

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield public safety officials released two traffic updates for local drivers on Monday morning.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, Bay Avenue at Broad Street will be temporarily closed because of a water main repair. Carner Brothers Construction will be completing the repair for the township. Bay Ave. Eastbound traffic at Essex Avenue will be temporarily closed; the estimated time of completion is eight hours.

In addition, one lane of Bloomfield Avenue – eastbound only – will be closed from LaFrance Avenue to Grove Street from 7 a.m. on Monday for about 10 days due to a construction detail.
“Please use an alternate route,” authorities said.
