Bloomfield Vehicle Thefts Near Home Depot, College Dorm: Police
Motor vehicle thefts took place in Bloomfield at Home Depot and near a college dorm, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Motor vehicle thefts took place in Bloomfield at Home Depot and near a Bloomfield College dorm earlier this month, police said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township:
- April 10 – “Officers were dispatched to Orange Street on a report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant parked his vehicle in the back lot of Home Depot at 4:50 a.m. When he returned at approximately 7:30 a.m., he noticed his vehicle was missing. The complainant observed an unknown male on surveillance camera get into his vehicle and drive off. The vehicle is 1998 beige Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen.”
- April 15 – “An officer was dispatched to the 400-block of Franklin Street on a report of a motor vehicle theft. He stated he came to visit a friend at a Bloomfield College dorm and parked his motorcycle across the street. When he came out on April 15 at 6 a.m. the motorcycle wasn't where he left it. The motorcycle is a 2014 BMW motorcycle with New York registration 79TE46. It was entered NCIC stolen.”
