BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Commission on Civil Rights plans to hold a virtual voter information session for local residents at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6.

According to a news release, the workshop will include a discussion about voting in the 2022 election. Participants will be able to submit questions.

IMPORTANT ELECTION DATES

According to Bloomfield township officials, here are some important election dates to keep in mind this year:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 18 is the last day to register to vote or to transfer voter registration for the primary election (Municipal Clerk’s Office, Room 214, Town Hall, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Nov. 1 is the last day to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot for the general election.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 8 is General Election Day. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bloomfield officials noted that early voting will be held from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 at the Watsessing Park Community Center, 38 Conger Street from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. There will be no in-person voting on Monday, Nov. 7.
