Bloomfield Will Hold 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony On 25th Anniversary Of Attacks
Thousands of luminary bags will be lit in town, including for Bloomfield's three local victims of the September 11th attacks.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
The town’s ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 on the Historic Town Green, 84 Broad Street.
In honor of the 2,977 lives lost, 2,977 luminary bags decorated by Bloomfield High School students and teachers will be displayed around the perimeter of the Historic Town Green. The bags will remain lit until 9:11 p.m.

“All are welcome to join us as we honor the lives lost, especially our three Bloomfield residents,” a township advisory said.
