The Township of Bloomfield recently announced that it will host "Clean and Strong Pothole Week" from April 24 to April 28. The initiative aims to improve road safety and enhance the driving experience for residents by repairing potholes town-wide.

“Clean and Strong Pothole Week will make a significant difference in improving the safety and quality of our roads, and we encourage residents to get involved and report pothole locations,” said Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia.

The Township Department of Public Works (DPW) crews will be taking a new approach and utilizing state-of-the-art technology called “spray patching” to make pothole repairs. Additionally, the repairs will be tracked using a GPS tracking system and a warranty will be provided for each repaired location. This will help the township DPW crews efficiently identify and address the areas most in need of repairs, and ensure long-lasting results.

“Potholes can be a major headache for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike, and can also cause significant damage to vehicles. Our crews will be out in force, working hard to repair as many potholes as possible. We ask for the public's assistance as we make our roads smoother and safer for everyone who uses them," added Councilwoman Sarah Cruz.
