BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield woman was struck from behind and robbed while walking on LaFrance Avenue last month, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the victim reported the robbery at police headquarters on May 27.

The victim told officers she was walking on LaFrance Avenue at 10 a.m. when someone hit her from behind. She lost consciousness, later waking to find that several items were missing.

The stolen items – valued at $305 – included an iPhone 8, a purple purse and another purse containing the victim’s Bank of America debit card, authorities said.

Police are investigating the robbery, authorities said.
