Bloomfield Woman Robbed, $400 In Christmas Gifts Stolen: Police

Another person was almost robbed, but managed to "fight the suspect off," Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield resident lost $400 worth of Christmas gifts during a robbery last week. A second victim was approached, but managed to fight their assailant off, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the robbery took place Saturday on LaFrance Avenue.

The victim told police that a man approached her as she was unloading presents from the back of her vehicle. He put his hand inside his pocket – “simulating that he had a gun” – and demanded that she hand over all her possessions.
