Bloomfield Woman’s Dogs Alert Her To Burglary: Police
The intruder may have fled the home through an unlocked kitchen window, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A Bloomfield woman’s dogs alerted her to a burglary in progress earlier this week, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the incident took place on Sunday, Feb. 17, when a sleeping Mohr Avenue resident awoke to the sound of her dogs barking. When the resident exited her room to investigate further, she found an unknown man on her stairs.
At that point, the intruder realized that there was someone home and fled the scene, possibly through an unlocked kitchen window, the victim told officers.

There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was missing from the home, police stated.
The victim described the intruder as a man in his 20’s, wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants, police said.
