Bob Ley to be Honored at Annual Charity Event

ESPN sportscaster Bob Ley will be receiving the “Pop” Curry Award at this year’s Team Walker “Evening of Dreams” event.  This award was created in 2006 and is given to an individual who puts others before themselves and gives back to the community.  Bob, a Bloomfield native, is currently on the advisory board of Team Walker, a program that has developed both academic and athletic programs in Jersey City.  A Seton Hall graduate, Ley is one of only two original sportscasters still with ESPN.

“Bob has been very committed to the success of Team Walker.  He is a great individual and friend who has helped the program tremendously throughout the years”, stated Jerry Walker, co-founder of the Team Walker program.

Bob Ley has been a long-time supporter of Team Walker, as well as an essential part of the program’s success.  His committed involvement will be celebrated during the annual “Evening of Dreams” benefit dinner.
