Bloomfield, NJ – Has a rash of car tire and rim thefts expanded to Bloomfield?
Bloomfield police said that the owner of a 2010 Mercedes Benz S63 reported that his vehicle’s rims and tires were stolen overnight on May 2.
The car’s owner told police that his Benz was parked on Charles Street on May 2 at 8 p.m.

The next morning, the victim discovered his car lifted up on cinder blocks with all four tires and rims missing, police said.
The incident is similar to a series of reported thefts that took place in Newark, Irvington, Harrison and Elizabeth in March, during which the thieves left the victim’s cars propped up on milk crates and cinder blocks.
