Burglar Steals $500 In Jewelry From Bloomfield Apartment: Police
Someone pried open the apartment's deadbolt lock to get inside, Bloomfield police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A burglar recently stole nearly $500 in jewelry from an apartment in Bloomfield, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the 300-block of Bloomfield Avenue on March 14 after getting a report about a burglary.
The victim said she left her apartment that morning to go to work. When she returned home that evening, she saw that someone broke into her home, police said.

According to police, the deadbolt lock was pried open to gain entry into the apartment. The victim said about $500 worth of jewelry was missing from her dresser.
A police investigation continues, authorities said Sunday.
