Burglar Struck Bloomfield Home While Owner Was On Vacation: Police
Missing items included a U.S. passport, citizenship paperwork and $3,000 in cash, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone burglarized a Bloomfield resident’s home while they were away on vacation last week, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the area of Willow Street after getting a report about a burglary on Dec. 28.
“A resident returned home from vacation and found the front door to her apartment was damaged,” police said. “Upon further inspection, she noticed a U.S. passport, citizenship paperwork and $3,000 was missing.”

The burglary is under investigation, authorities said.
