Burglaries In Bloomfield: Store Door Smashed, Stolen Leaf Blower
Bloomfield residents reported two burglaries last week, authorities said. Here are the details.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield residents reported two burglaries last week, authorities announced Thursday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statements about each burglary:
March 7 – “Officers responded to the area of Evergreen Avenue on report of a burglary into a garage. A resident placed his leaf blower in the garage after doing yard work and left the garage open. While inside the house, he observed an unknown suspect on video surveillance enter the garage and take the leaf blower. The leaf blower is valued at $250. This incident is under investigation.”

March 10 – “Officers responded to 15 Broad Street (AT&T store) on report of a front door glass break. After reviewing surveillance footage along with the store manager, it was determined that an unknown male smashed the glass to make entry. Once inside, the suspect took numerous iPhones and tablets. The value of the stolen merchandise was $3,000. This incident is under investigation.”
