Burglary Reported At Bloomfield Pizzeria, Police Say
Bloomfield Police Department: A witness said they saw a man break into the restaurant and then drive away.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A burglary recently took place at a pizzeria in Bloomfield, police said Thursday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statement about the burglary, which was reported on Oct. 2:
“Officers responded to 1279 Broad Street (Mario’s Famous Pizza) on report of a burglary. At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 2, a resident witnessed a male suspect wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt break into the establishment and then drive away in a white Toyota Corolla. When officers arrived, they observed a brick in front of the establishment of Mario’s Pizza, along with broken glass. The suspect gained entry into the business and stole money from the cash drawer. The total dollar amount of cash stolen is unknown at this time.”
Bloomfield police are investigating the incident, authorities said.
