Dust off your evening gowns and tuxes because Gas Lamp Teens is thrilled to bring the Drama Desk award winning musical The PROM School Edition to the community this summer. This two-show production will take place on Friday, August 8th at 7 p.m. and Saturday August 9th at 1 p.m. at the Ridgewood Avenue School auditorium in Glen Ridge, NJ. This is a true multi-community event featuring an amazing teen cast from Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair, South Orange, West Orange, Lebanon and Newark.

The PROM School Edition is a story of inclusivity, acceptance and friendship told through the lens of four eccentric Broadway stars, who are in desperate need of a new stage. So, when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue… and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together.
