As America marks its 250th birthday, what better way to celebrate than a rousing concert of choral voices raised in song? On Sunday, April 26 at 3 pm, the Glen Ridge Choral Society, under the direction of Thomas Mustachio, presents "America Sings at 250," a celebration of American music of the 20th and 21st centuries by such notable composers as Samuel Barber, Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, and Randall Thompson, among others, and there are also pieces for solo voices. Brass, percussion, handbell choir, piano, and organ are part of the festivities, and a tasty reception will follow the concert. Location is Glen Ridge Congregational Church, UCC at 195 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, 07028. For tickets go to: https://cur8.com/25483/project/138623
