Cancer Awareness Walk In Bloomfield: ‘Megan’s Miracle Makers’

On Sunday, Sept. 30, the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center will host the 3rd Annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Walk.

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center is joining the battle in raising awareness and funds for cutting edge, lifesaving research.

On Sunday, September 30, 2018, Oakeside will host the 3rd Annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Walk. 100% of the net profit from the event will be donated to a team in the Cycle for Survival event. That team is named Megan’s Miracle Makers, in memory of Megan Macaluso, a Bloomfield child who was taken at age 19 by pediatric cancer.

At 9 AM, rain or shine, the walkers will gather at the Oakeside mansion for a three-mile walk through Bloomfield. At the end of the walk, participants will be greeted by light refreshments. Water will be available along the route.
