Car Stolen After Bloomfield Driver Parks In Friend’s Driveway: Police
The key fob was in the car and the doors were left unlocked. A suspect was captured on video surveillance, Bloomfield police said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A driver parked his car in a friend’s driveway for half an hour last week, returning to find that it was stolen, Bloomfield police said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the 200-block of Watchung Avenue on Nov. 4 after getting a report about a stolen vehicle.
The owner said he parked his grey 2019 BMW in the driveway at 5:54 p.m., and found it was stolen 30 minutes later.

Surveillance video shows a man get out of a dark-colored SUV that parked behind the stolen car in the driveway. The suspect then gets into the car and drives away, police said.
The key fob was in the vehicle and doors were left unlocked at the time of the theft, police said.
