Car Stolen In Bloomfield With Dog Still Inside: Police

Bloomfield, NJ – A Bloomfield business owner car was allegedly stolen on Friday morning near the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Edison Street while the owner was bringing items into the store, a report says.

According to police, the Newark resident’s Shih Tzu was in the car when an unknown suspect allegedly saw that the vehicle was unattended, entered it and drove away, NorthJersey.com reported.

Newark police located the vehicle Monday morning on North 13th Street, but the dog was not in the car, NorthJersey.com stated.

No suspect has been identified, but an investigation is ongoing, police said.
