Car Stolen In Bloomfield While Owner Eats At Restaurant: Police

Another recent vehicle theft involved a parked car that was left on the street overnight, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIIELD, NJ — Two vehicle thefts were reported in Bloomfield last week, authorities said Wednesday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following information about each incident.

Oct. 23 – Officers responded to the area of Wilson Place after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. A resident parked his vehicle on the street overnight, and after returning the following morning, he noticed it was missing. The vehicle – a white 2014 BMW 650 – was entered as stolen. A police investigation continues, authorities said.

Oct. 28 – Officers responded to 56 Broad Street (BGR) after getting a report about a motor vehicle theft. The car’s owner parked her grey 2020 Volvo XC90 in front of the restaurant at 1:30 p.m. while she went inside to eat. When she returned at 2:30 p.m., she noticed her vehicle was missing. The vehicle was entered as stolen. A police investigation continues, authorities said.
