Car Stripped Of 4 Tires, Rims In Bloomfield: Police

A car owner parked his vehicle in Bloomfield overnight. When he returned, all four tires and rims were missing, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A thief stripped a vehicle of its tires and rims in Bloomfield earlier this month, authorities said.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the area of 80 Franklin Street on Sept. 12 after receiving a report about a theft.

The victim told officers that he parked his 2019 grey Honda Accord on Franklin Street from 11 p.m. on Sept. 11 to 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 12. When he returned to his car, all four tires and rims were missing, authorities said. The missing parts are valued at $1,000, police said.

The victim described the missing parts as “black, low-profile sport tires with silver cutouts in the rims.”

Police are investigating the theft, authorities said.
