Cars Stolen From Bloomfield Driveway, Parking Lots: Police
Several motor vehicle thefts were reported in Bloomfield, including two at local parking lots, authorities said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Several motor vehicle thefts were reported in Bloomfield last week, including two at local parking lots, authorities said Thursday.
The Bloomfield Police Department released the following statements about each theft.
Sept. 20 – Officers responded to the 100-block of Ampere Parkway on report of two motor vehicle thefts. The owner parked his vehicle, a white 2020 Kia Sport in his driveway at 4:46 a.m. He then observed two males walk into the driveway and take the vehicle. The key fob was inside the vehicle. A key fob to their second vehicle was also inside the Kia Sport. Approximately 30 minutes later, the suspects returned and took their second vehicle, a black 2017 Nissan Armada. Both vehicles were entered into NCIC as stolen. These incidents are under investigation.

Sept. 21 – Officers responded to 208 Bloomfield Avenue (The Grove) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner parked his vehicle in the parking lot on Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. When he returned to it the following morning, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a white 2019 Jeep Cherokee, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.
Sept. 23 – Officers responded to 378 Broad Street (Town Pub) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant parked her vehicle in the lot behind the building at approximately 6:15 p.m. while she went inside with her family. When she returned to the vehicle at 8:10 p.m., it was missing. Video surveillance at the establishment shows a light-colored, four-door vehicle pull behind her vehicle and an unidentifiable individual enter her vehicle and leave the lot. The vehicle, a black 2017 Lexus NX300, was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident is under investigation.
