Catalytic Converter Thief Hits Contractor In Bloomfield: Police
Someone cut a catalytic converter loose from a contractor's vehicle while they were on the job in Bloomfield, authorities said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone stole a catalytic converter from a contractor’s vehicle while they were on the job in Bloomfield earlier this month, authorities said.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the theft took place on Sept. 17 as a contractor was working inside a resident’s home on West Passaic Avenue.
Video surveillance of the theft shows a man get out of a black Ford Explorer, then cut the expensive car part loose from the contractor’s white 2001 Ford F-350.
