Look Good…Feel Better Monday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to noon This is a national public service program for female cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. Learn to cope with the side effects of treatment and feel comfortable with changes in your appearance by receiving a personal makeover by cosmetology professionals. This program will be held in the Continuing Care Building at The Cancer Center at Clara Maass Medical Center, located at 1 Clara Maass Drive in Belleville. For more information or to register, please call 973-488-4150. Breast Cancer Support Group Monday, September 28 at 4 p.m.
No woman should be alone in her fight against breast cancer. Whether coping with a recent diagnosis or survivorship, the breast cancer support group provides a safe place to share your journey with others. Light refreshments will be served. This program will be held in the Continuing Care Building at The Cancer Center at Clara Maass Medical Center, located at 1 Clara Maass Drive in Belleville. According to the American Lung Association, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States and it is most curable when diagnosed early. In an effort to help identify those who may be at high-risk for developing lung cancer, Clara Maass Medical Center will provide free lung cancer screenings for individuals at high risk for developing lung cancer. To participate, attendees must be between the ages of 55 and 74 and be a current or former smoker. A physician prescription is required for all screenings. This program will be held in the Continuing Care Building at The Cancer Center at Clara Maass Medical Center, located at 1 Clara Maass Drive in Belleville. Those interested in participating are encouraged to contact the Cancer Center at 973-844-4166 and speak with the Lung Cancer Navigator to determine if they are candidates. Genetic Counseling Call for schedule. Genetic counseling is available at the Cancer Center at Clara Maass Medical Center to help individuals determine their risk of developing specific types of cancer. This program will be held in the Continuing Care Building at The Cancer Center at Clara Maass Medical Center, located at 1 Clara Maass Drive in Belleville.
