Classroom Management for Students Acting Out Behaviorally and Emotionally

This interactive workshop will present a classroom management protocol, demonstrated and taught for teacher and related staff utilization.

The program is offered at no charge as a service to education community in and around Essex county.

Three CEU Credits will be offered.

Featuring nationally-recognized speaker Dr. Buzz Mingin, this 3 hour program is designed for teachers, child study team members, social workers, school directors, principals and counselors. The workshop will present a classroom management protocol, demonstrated and taught for teacher and related staff utilization. The protocol can address students from self-contained to less restricted environments, and for school environments that utilize token economy and those without. This classroom management device addresses student behavior from those with short attention spans to those with aggressive acting out behavior. Participants will learn how to simultaneously offer coping tools for students’ own personal management while holding student accountable for the decisions they make.

About Dr. Buzz:

Dr. Buzz is a recognized national speaker specializing in children and adolescents with Behavioral and Emotional Disorders. He has several published books, is the president of Buzz’s Bookworm, Inc., a comprehensive support center for students with behavioral and emotional afflictions, and the director of World Karate Studio, a comprehensive martial arts program that teaches social skills and behavioral management to disabled children and adolescents.

Dr. Buzz holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Education. He is a New Jersey Certified School Social Worker, a professional development provider for New Jersey Department of Education, a qualified expert witness for New Jersey Superior Courts, a Certified Forensic Counselor by the American Board of Forensic Counselors International and contracted with many public and private schools throughout New Jersey.

Attendees are invited to stay for lunch following the workshop.
