Come to the Tricky Tray this Friday!

As a busy school year is winding down, the BHS music department is gearing up for its last big event of the spring—the “Sounds of Summer” Tricky Tray, which is scheduled for FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 6:30 p.m. at Bloomfield Middle School.

Tickets are available for $15.00 per person, which includes entrance fee, one sheet of Tricky Tray tickets, coffee and dessert. Tickets will be held and distributed at the door the night of the event. We are also offering additional ticket packs at $20.00 each—a savings of 15 percent. The package includes: one additional sheet of “Auction Block” tickets; 12 “Sweepstake” tickets; and five “Grand Prize” tickets. To purchase tickets, please contact Vivian Broadfoot at 974-461-3940 or vivbroadfoot@yahoo.com.

Thus far donations for baskets have been made by: Adventure Aquarium,  A’Ginell Salon, Applebee’s, Bloomfield’s Best Bagels, Brookdale Shoprite, Chevy’s, Costco, Discovery Museum, Flic Spa, Floyd Hall Arena, Frieda and Suriano, Garden State Discovery Museum, Garden State Yoga, Giants, Houlihan’s, Hudson City Savings Bank, Jenkinson’s, Jets, Liberty Science Center, Mountain Creek, Nutley Shoprite, Obal’s Inn, Shannon Rose, State Street Grill, Talium Taekwondo, Yogi Berra Museum, among others. Many more businesses are expected to contribute, providing a wide array of valuable baskets for attendees to vie for. Donations are still being accepted for themed baskets and/or items to fill them (monetary donations are also welcome). To donate, please contact Patti Valentovic at 973-743-1046 or email bhs.mpa.news@gmail.com.

The funds raised at this year’s Tricky Tray are earmarked to help the music department with much-needed equipment and instrument replacement, including the choir risers, which are “around 30 years old,” confirms Ms. Michelle DiGaetano, BHS choir director. Mr. Brendan Hughes, BHS band director, adds that he hopes to be able to “purchase new instruments for next year,” as well.
