Cops Find ATM Skimming Device At Essex County Bank (PHOTOS)
Police recently discovered a "skimming device" attached to an Essex County bank's ATM, authorities say.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Verona police recently discovered a “skimming device” attached to an Essex County bank’s ATM, but no customer information was compromised as a result of the attempted scam, authorities say.
According to the Verona Police Department, officers received reports about two female suspects “acting in a suspicious manner” near the ATM at the Chase Bank at 30 Pompton Avenue in Verona.
On arrival at the bank, the officers found a skimming device attached to the ATM, which included a magnetic card reader and a camera affixed to the cash dispenser capable of recording PIN keypad entries, authorities said.

The devices were removed before the suspects could return to download any of the information, Verona police stated.
No customer information was compromised, but residents and visitors should remain vigilant when using local ATMs, police said.

Verona police posted surveillance photos of the two suspects taken at 6:32 p.m. on March 7, as well as photos of the device found at the ATM. [See below photos]
