Create a Child Identification Kit at Upcoming Bloomfield Police Event
Parents can have their children fingerprinted and have photos taken on Sunday.

The Bloomfield Police Department will host a “Kid Care” event on Sunday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the ShopRite at 1409 Broad St.
Parents will be able to have their child fingerprinted and photographed, and there will be free giveaways.
According to the FBI, hundreds of thousands of kids in the U.S. are reported “missing” every year.

The FBI recommends that parents have information that “helps identify your child ready to hand to law enforcement the instant you report your child missing.”

- Cards for detailing your child’s physical descriptions—including a body map for pointing out scars, birthmarks, and other identifying features
- Current photos
- A small DNA sample
