DWI Crackdown On Busy Bloomfield Road: Here’s When, Where

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield Police Department will hold a DWI sobriety checkpoint on Bloomfield Avenue on Friday, May 5.

According to police, the checkpoint location was chosen because of “statistics demonstrating a disproportionate number of drunk driving incidents in the area.”

“These operations are being conducted to raise awareness of impaired driving by educating motorist and arresting impaired drivers,” police said.

Funding for the operation has been provided by the Drunk Driving Enforcement Fund.
