Bloomfield Train Strike Fatality; NJ Transit Releases ID
NJ Transit officials have identified a 36-year-old woman who died after being hit by a train near an Essex County train station.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — NJ Transit officials have identified a woman killed by a train near the Watsessing Avenue train station as a 36-year-old Essex County resident.
A NJ Transit spokesperson told NorthJersey.com that Anna Galushkina, 36, of Bloomfield, died after a Montclair-Boonton line train hit her during the Monday rush hour.
NJ Transit temporarily suspended service on the Montclair/Boonton line in both directions between Bay Street and Newark Broad Street due to a "trespasser strike" west of the station, the agency stated.

The woman was on the train tracks when the train hit her; none of the 750 passengers and crew members on board were injured, NJ.com reported.
Service resumed on the MOBO line shortly after the incident with residual delays, NJ Transit officials said.

Montclair/Boonton Line service is operating on or close to schedule with residual delays to trains already enroute due to trespasser strike.
