Give your feet some well-deserved rest and delve into the sometimes daunting but always fun & freeing practice of arm balancing. In this two hour workshop we will explore the foundations of many arm balances and the mechanics of leaving the ground on our hands. Practicing these challenging poses requires us to tap into our courage, core power, and playfulness. We'll play with: Bakasana (crow), Parsva Bakasana (side crow), Eka Pada Galavasana (flying pigeon), Tittibhasana (dragonfly), Mayurasan (peacock), Eka Pada Koundinyasana I & II (one-legged arm balance), and Adho Mukha Vrksasana (handstand). If you are just beginning your flight into arm balancing you will learn safe techniques to help you get off the ground. For those refining their flight skills we will experiment with fun entries, transitions and exits. For all who attend, expect to walk away with a smile and genuine feeling of accomplishment. This is a very popular workshop. Registration is strongly encouraged.
