The Bloomfield Public Library is pleased to announce that our computer tutoring sessions will resume on January 30. Learn the basics of how to use a computer, word processing or internet. Do you need to learn how to type a letter on the computer, use the internet to look something up, open an email account and use it, update your resume, or apply for that job online?
Computer tutoring sessions are one-on-one sessions, just you and the tutor, so learning can occur at your own pace. Appointments for basic sessions are available: Mondays 4pm-7pm; Weds 11am-1pm; Fridays 12pm- 2pm
The Bloomfield Public Library is please to announce that we will also be able to offer more advanced computer instruction two days a week thanks to a community volunteer who is very generously offering her services while she searches for a job. The Bloomfield Public Library would like to thank Quartu Ann Talpur (Annie) for offering to share her knowledge and computer skills with the community. From Annie, you will be able to learn how to open a free email account, and use it; how to create your resume and attach it to an email; how to use job sites like monster.com and indeed.com. She will also be able to instruct community members in how to use Word, Powerpoint; how to use search engines; how to find directions on sites like Google maps, and more! Sign up now! Annie will be available Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm. Come and sign up quick, before she finds a job and won’t be available to us any longer!
