Garrison Keillor's Lake Wobegon Days to be Discussed at the Bloomfield Public Library Book Club's

The next meeting of the Bloomfield Public Library Book Club will be on Monday, March 12th from 6:45 until 7:50 PM in the Conference Room.  The topic of discussion will be Lake Wobegon Days by Garrison Keillor.

Lake Wobegon is the imaginary Minnesota town created by humorist  Keillor for his popular National Public Radio variety show. “A Prairie Home Companion.”  Robert Altman directed the film version that starred Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Lily Tomlin, and Woody Harrelson.

The book contains a series of linked stories, both funny and poignant, about a rural community where “all the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average.”
