Rev. Deborah L. Spivey, Interim Pastor of St. Paul’s Baptist Church is the keynote speaker.
Reverend Shawn Hall will direct the “Community Choir,” consisting of singers from churches throughout Essex County, to honor the man that helped change the fabric of our nation by changing the way our country dealt with racial discrimination, segregation and the plight of the poor.
Local politicians and dignitaries will be in attendance and all will have an opportunity to reflect back on a unique time in our nation’s history and share their own story of Dr. King’s impact.
