Thursday Movie at the Library - "THE KING'S SPEECH"

When his older brother abdicated the throne, Prince Bertie (Colin Firth) became an unwilling King George VI. Handicapped by an intrusive stammer and a poor selfimage, he was saved by an unorthodox speech therapist (Geoffrey Rush) who helped him lead his country through WWII.  Helena Bonham Carter, Jennifer Ehle, Michael Gambon & Derek Jacobi costar in this beautifully acted film that won four Oscars and many other awards.

Rated R for some language.
