Expensive Apple Gear Stolen In Bloomfield During Facebook Marketplace Trade: Police

The seller handed the buyer an Apple Pro Vision VR headset to inspect. Here's what happened next, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Someone stole an expensive Apple Pro Vision VR headset during a sale organized on Facebook Marketplace in Bloomfield last week, authorities say.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about the theft, which took place on June 3:

“Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Stop & Shop) on report of a theft. A resident met a male in the parking lot for a Facebook Marketplace sale. The resident handed the male an Apple Pro Vision VR headset to inspect. The male then entered his vehicle and fled the scene with the headset. The item was valued at $3,250.”
