Fatal Shooting In Bloomfield; Newark Man Identified As Victim
No arrests have been made as of Thursday, authorities said.
BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A fatal shooting in Bloomfield claimed the life of a 47-year-old Newark man on Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Kevin Roberts, 47, of Newark, was shot in the area of 12 First Avenue in Bloomfield around 8 p.m., according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bloomfield Public Safety Department.
Emergency responders transported Roberts to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:14 p.m.
