Fight Over Parking Space Leads To Stabbing In Bloomfield: Police
A fight broke out over a parking spot, and one person pulled out a knife, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — A fight over a parking spot escalated into an aggravated assault in Bloomfield last week, police announced Wednesday.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to Berkeley Avenue on Feb. 9 after getting a report about a “fight involving a knife.”
The officers encountered a person with a puncture wound under his arm, and another man, later identified as John Calandrillo, 42, of Newark. Police also found a knife on the ground.

According to witnesses, an argument broke out over a parking spot, and Calandrillo pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.
Calandrillo was still present at the scene when police arrived; he was arrested and transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed, authorities said.
