Five men were arrested Wednesday after stealing nearly $1,500-worth of UGG boots from J.T. Murdoch Shoes in Bloomfield, police said.

The men swiped eight pairs of Australian boots, valued at $1,480, from the Bloomfield Avenue store shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Sgt. Anthony Servedio, Bloomfield Police Department spokesperson.

Shortly after, the five were spotted by Officer Anthony Cicetti in a parked car on Thomas Street and Winsor Place, less than a half-mile away from the shoe store. The stolen boots were in plain sight inside the car, Servedio said.
