Free Tax Help For Bloomfield Senior Citizens In 2019

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — New Jersey Citizen Action will hold free tax preparation services for elderly residents in Bloomfield for the 2019 tax season.

According to a news release, the tax prep sessions will take place Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., from Feb. 6 to April 10 at the Bloomfield Public Library, 90 Broad Street.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 732-246-4772.

Residents must bring:

• Photo ID
• Social security cards (or ITNs) for everyone listed on the return
• All W2, 1098 and 1099 forms

Residents should also bring the following items if applicable:

• For direct deposit, check or routing and account numbers
• 1095-A form (insurance from the Market Place)
• Copy of last year’s return
• Two routine and account number for savings program
