Montclair State University Announces 'Girls in Sports Day'

The annual event give girls, ages 8-14, an introduction to a variety of sports taught by Montclair State University student-athletics.

Montclair State University (MSU) has called upon sporty (or those considering becoming sporty) Montclair girls, ages, 8-14, for its annual Girls in Sports Day on Saturday, Feb. 6. Participants will have the chance to work with MSU student-athletes and receive introductory lessons in lacrosse, field hockey, track and field, soccer and volleyball. Registration is available through the Montclair State University website. All participants will receive a free t-shirt. Snacks and water will also be provided.

The registration deadline for Girls in Sports Day is Monday, Feb. 1. The clinic cost is $15 per person, and participants are required to bring their waiver form as well as sneakers and athletic clothing. University personnel can park in designated faculty-staff surface lots or the Red Hawk Deck as they normally do. Visitors can use parking meters located next to the student recreation center and the Red Hawk Diner or park in the Red Hawk Parking Deck.
