Good Shepherd Academy-Nutley Attends March for Life 2015
Students of GSA-Nutley participated in the annual pilgrimage for March for Life in Washington, DC on January 21-22, 2015.
They were joined by their Principal, Sr. Jane Feltz, MPF and Middle School teacher, Ms. Alvina Babu, together with the Knights of Columbus and Holy Family parishioners. They began their time in Washington with a Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, joining hundreds of seminarians, deacons and priests, bishops and cardinals.
On Thursday morning, they attended mass and toured the St. John Paul II National Shrine. At 1:00 pm, they joined thousands of people at the March for Life up Constitution Ave. Some carried signs, some chanted various pro-life slogans, some prayed and others simply supported the cause through their presence.
When the pilgrims reached the U.S. Supreme Court building, the conclusion of the march, they gathered in prayer led by Father John Gordon.
